The recovery (and overtaking) of pre-Covid traffic levels by Toscana Aeroporti continues in August: the company that manages the Florence and Pisa airports in the key month of summer 2023 recorded growth of 16.7% per year on year, and 4.1% compared to August 2019. The result follows the +6.3% in July 2023 compared to the same month 2019, after 3 passengers passed through the Vespucci and Galilei in the first half of the year .6 million in total, 95.6% of the 2019 volume.

Beyond the passenger traffic data, states the mid-year report, in the half-year Toscana Aeroporti obtained consolidated operating revenues of 42 million euros (+31% year on year), with growth in both aviation revenues (+29% ) and non-aviation revenues (+32%). Ebitda is 12.8 million (+153.2%) and the net result is positive for 1.6 million compared to the loss of 3.4 million in 2022. Net financial debt is equal to 88.4 million , compared to 106.2 million in mid-2022.

“Despite the geopolitical and macroeconomic scenario still presenting various elements of uncertainty – states President Marco Carrai -, the results achieved as of 30 June 2023 allow us to look to the rest of the year with confidence and optimism and provide a solid basis for the strategic plans of society with in particular the ESG issues of environmental sustainability”.
