Oristano New detention order for Antonio Demelas, imprisoned in Uta for a year and a half. The carabinieri of the judicial police section of the Oristano Prosecutor’s Office have notified a further precautionary custody order in prison which strengthens the investigative elements, collected by the Oristano Investigative Unit, in collaboration with the Mogoro and Ghilarza Companies, on the facts concerning sexual violence on a minor.
The new facts emerging from the investigations of the Prosecutor’s Office Section, following investigative investigations delegated by the Oristano Prosecutor’s Office, would have made it possible to reveal further abuses committed by Demelas on the minor.
Demelas is accused of abusing an elementary school girl, the daughter of a family with whom the 70-year-old former chef had close relationships. According to the investigators, Antonino Demelas would have lured the little girl by taking advantage of her acquaintance with her family unit and then would have plagiarized her to have sexual relations with her. The prosecutor’s office goes even further and connects this investigation to the main one, that of the disappearance and probable murder of Marina Castangia, a 60-year-old from Cabras and former partner of Demelas who vanished into thin air at the beginning of spring 2021. For those investigating she was killed, but there is no element to strengthen this hypothesis.
Demelas is also accused of a robbery committed in Selargius in 2016. For this crime he was granted a further restrictive measure
