ANCONA – «We have decided to extend by one year, until 30 September 2024, the date for submitting applications for authorization to operate for all public and private health, socio-health and social facilities (residential, outpatient, analysis laboratories, hospitals, terme) who must submit the request for verification of possession of the new minimum requirements”. This was announced by the vice-president of the Marche Region and health councilor Filippo Saltamartini.
In 2016, a Regional Law had modified «the requirements that these structures must have – he recalls -, and the Council had approved the relevant authorization manuals, only to then establish a delay of 18 months due to the pandemic. The deadline was therefore set for 30 September 2023.”
The association representing Management Bodies, the General Directors of the Companies of the Regional Health System and the Territorial Social Areas, explains «have highlighted some critical issues in the interpretation and application of the authorization manuals, asking for a further extension of the deadline indicated also due to the lack of specialized technicians engaged in earthquake, flood and 110% projects”.
«Trying to meet the needs of managing bodies and companies – explains Saltamartini – we have decided to extend the requests for authorization to the Suap (One Stop Shop for Production Activities) or to the Municipality for one year. The proposal will be evaluated by the fourth Commission of the Regional Council, and then will return to the Council for final approval. For now – he concludes – the existing authorization and accreditation documents remain in force, including any agreements with the Regional Health System, to guarantee the continuity of services in the interest of citizens”.
