The competitive season opened on Saturday 16th S2M Volley Vercelli that al PalaBertinetti he played the first two matches of the Piedmont Cuporganized by Fipav regional.
First match won 2-1 against Lilliput of Settimosecond lost 3-0 in front of Volley Pirates Gavi/Novi who plays in Serie C, therefore a category higher than the Vercelli teams.
The overall performance of the team was very positiveconsidering that S2M has only been training for two weeks, that the two matches on Saturday were the first and that the training of Gherardi And Vigliani it is a very young team, new and still to be amalgamated.
We will have to improve in some fundamentals, but the S2M gave the impression of being a solid team, which played very well and which will be able to improve game after game, with the work that will be done in the gym in the next training sessions.
The next round of the cup is scheduled for Saturday 23 September with S2M facing the Cigliano and the Vercelli Volleyball.
