
BRUSSELS – The event promoted by MEP Laura Ferrara “Agriculture in the European Union between sustainability and protection of quality production” will be held tomorrow, at 4.30 pm, at the European Parliament.
The event, in which a group of young entrepreneurs associated with Coldiretti Calabria were invited to participate, is aimed at debating the challenges of European agriculture in light of the sustainability objectives contained in the CAP. The common agricultural policy combines social, economic and environmental approaches aimed at creating a sustainable agricultural system in the European Union.
A particular focus will concern information on the support available for young farmers provided for by the 2023-27 CAP and the reform of the PDO and PGI system for greater rationalisation, simplification, transparency, sustainability and protection of quality production.
Speakers, together with the European Parliamentarian Ferrara, will be Paolo De Castro, Member of the Commission for Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Parliament, Stefano Verrecchia, Deputy Permanent Representative, Ambassador to Coreper, Ricard Ramon I Sumoyl, Deputy Head of Unit A-1 of the DG Agriculture and rural development of the European Commission and Paolo Di Stefano, director of the Coldiretti office at the European Union.
