That series of four years ago is also the last semifinal played by Banco di Sardegna, which is in its sixth appearance in the series that gives access to the Scudetto final. Dinamo won two series of finals, one precisely in the 2018/19 season (later defeated by Venice in the final 4-3) and one in the 2014/15 championship again against Milan which paved the way for Banco di Sardegna to win of the Scudetto in the final against Reggio Emilia.

PREVIOUS PLAYOFFS
The two teams have already faced each other in five series during the playoffs. Apart from the quarter-final of the 2010/11 season – won by Milan 3-1 – the two clubs have always met in the semi-finals.
The first semi-final dates back to the 2013/14 championship when Olimpia prevailed in 6 games before conquering the title against Siena. In the following season the two clubs met in the semi-finals but this time Dinamo went through after 7 games before winning the Scudetto final.
The last two semi-finals date back to the years 2018/19 and 2021/22, when Banco di Sardegna (3-0) and A|X Armani Exchange (3-0) prevailed respectively.
In total they are 23 playoff games played between teams with i red and white after you 13-10.
IN REGULAR SEASON
The first leg match was clearly conquered by the red and white for 63-92 thanks to a super 32-0 run and Luwawu-Cabarrot’s 21 points. This challenge dates back to Sunday 4 December 2022 and was valid for the 9th matchday. The second leg instead dates back to Sunday 7 May 2023, valid for the 30th matchday, when Olimpia won again for 79-67 with Napier driver (19 points) and a super Voigtmann (16 points).
THE COACHES
The two coaches Ettore Messina and Piero Bucchi crossed paths in 9 playoff games, with a balance at the moment in favor of the current Milan coach 6-3.
THE EX
Bank of Sardinia Sassari – Giacomo Devecchi played in the youth team and in the first team for Olimpia Milano until the summer of 2004.
Stefano Gentile was enrolled in the Milanese first team for the 2007/2008 season, making a total of 9 appearances.
Piero Bucchi coached 94 games (winning 55) in Milan from 2008 until 3 January 2011.

We expect a difficult semi-final in which we will have to be patient and good at looking for the best shot in attack, limit turnovers and immediately play a great defensive game especially in the transition phase so as not to allow Sassari to play the way they prefer”.
Piero Bucchi, coach Banco di Sardegna Sassari: “We are aware of their strength, we have done a great series with Venice, we will try to do something more than last season, we try to be as competitive as possible, to be able to do our best, top tier players, coach Ettore Messina, we are talking about the top, our personal challenge is to overcome our limits, to go further. If a player or an insider feels satisfied, he makes a big mistake, aware that he is against Milan, he must try to go further, fight, determined, not presumptuous, but with courage and a little cheeky.
