PADUA – A weekend away from Sicily for a small representation of the Asd Gymnasium Karate Sporting Club of Messina. In fact, from 19 to 21 May among the more than a thousand protagonists, from almost 200 companies, in Padua for the “Open Veneto” there were also Kyle Garcia and Jordy Villari accompanied by the teacher Grazia Rigolizio.

The two gave positive signals with their performances and were well prepared in view of the regional Aics competition which will take place in Messina on June 18th at the PalaRescifina. The event is organized by teacher Grazia Rigolizio, who is also the provincial Aics delegate and by teacher Giuseppe Capilli, regional Aics delegate.

The tests of the karatekas of the Gymnasium Sporting Club

The athletes of the Gymnasium Sporting Club return home without medals, but still satisfied, because they conducted a race to the best of their ability, highlighting both technical and personal growth and improvement.

Kyle Garcia, cadet category 52 kg, wins the first two matches, both 2-0 and stops one step away from the semifinal. The same fate for Jordy Villari, junior category 48 kg, who passes the first round by winning 6-1, but loses the second match.
