The presence of one woman with stab wounds to her neck, in her home in via Abate Gimma, had arrived at 9.00 this morning, at the Operations Room of the Police Headquarters. The police officers of the Flying Squad and the Flying Squad, who immediately intervened on the spot, were able to verify that the woman had been attacked and seriously injured by her husband, who then fled aboard a car. The searches for the man, identified by the “Falchi” of the Flying Squad in via Davanzati:
he was still wearing the clothes used during the attack, stained with blood. Subjected to arrest as a suspect in the crime, he was taken to the Bari prison pending the validation of the pre-precautionary measure by the Judge, in discussions with the defence. The woman, hospitalized in code red at the Polyclinic Hospital, was discharged with a 30-day prognosis. The murder weapon, a large kitchen knife, found inside the house, was seized by the Scientific Police.
