There are two months to go before the Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna Formula 1 Grand Prix which will take place in Imola from 19 to 21 May, and it has already been announced that it will be more convenient to reach it by train.
In the official online timetables of Trenitalia (www.trenitalia.com) for the days from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 May, the extraordinary stop of Intercity trains is scheduled in Imola. In addition, the Swiss Eurocity Zurich-Bologna and vice versa is extended to Imola.
At the station of Imola, a town about thirty kilometers from Bologna, Intercity trains do not usually stop but only regional trains. During the days of the Grand Prix, the citizens of Parma will also be able to use the Intercity trains departing from our station at 8.40, 10.54, 11.18 (Saturday only), 11.33 (the Swiss Eurocity) and 16.42, which will arrive in Imola respectively at 10.17, 12.17, 12.45, 12.58 and 18.19. For the return journey, there will be Intercity buses departing from Imola at 10.39, 13.12 (the Swiss Eurocity), 18.17 (Sunday only), 18.37 and 20.37, arriving in Parma at 12.18, 14.24, 19.39, 20.11 and 22.08.
Over one hundred thousand spectators are expected to arrive at Imola for the Grand Prix, most of them in cars. The Enzo and Dino Ferrari international racetrack, where the car race takes place, is located three and a half kilometers from the railway station, a distance that can be covered on foot in just over half an hour or you can use a city bus.
