Grosseto. I am 135 new cases of Covid-19 registered in the last twenty-four hours in Tuscany: 51 were confirmed with a molecular swab and the other 84 with a rapid test.
At the moment they are therefore 7,319 positive, -1.3% compared to yesterday. Of these, 140 (3 fewer than yesterday) are hospitalized: 6 (2 fewer) are in intensive care. Recording one death: a 69-year-old man.
The number of infected people detected in the region since the beginning of the pandemic therefore rises to 1,593,219. The new cases are 0.01% more compared to the previous day’s total. The healed grow by 0.01% (230 people) and reach 1,574,282 (98.8% of total cases).
The data relating to the progress of the pandemic are those ascertained today on the basis of the requests of the national civil protection.
Since the last daily bulletin, 325 molecular swabs and 2,085 rapid antigenic swabs have been performed: of these the 5.6% it tested positive. On the other hand, 328 subjects were tested, excluding control swabs: il 41.2% of these tested positive.
The trend by province
With the latest cases, the positives since the beginning of the emergency in the municipalities of the metropolitan city of Florence rise to 426,411 (32 more than yesterday), 103,767 in the province of Prato (6 more), 123,544 in Pistoia (6 more) , 83,498 in Massa Carrara (3 more), 173,669 in Lucca (15 more), 186,588 in Pisa (18 more), 147,062 in Livorno (9 more), 143,908 in Arezzo (15 more), 114,111 in Siena (18 more) e 89,352 in Grosseto (13 more). To these must be added 569 cases of positivity notified in Tuscany but which concern residents in other regions.
Tuscany has around 43,493 total cases per 100,000 inhabitants since the beginning of the pandemic (between residents and non-residents). At the moment, the notification province with the highest rate is Lucca (with 45,408 cases per 100,000 inhabitants), followed by Livorno (44,937) and Pisa (44,741). The lowest concentration is found in Prato (with a rate of 40,201).
In 7,179 are in isolation at homebecause they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free (93 fewer than yesterday, down 1.3%).
The 1,574,282 healed registered to date are in all respects, from a viral point of view, certified with a negative swab.
The deaths
The list of deaths is updated with one death: a 69-year-old man. With regards to the province of residence, the deceased person is in Massa Carrara.
11,618 have died since the beginning of the epidemic: 3,684 in the metropolitan city of Florence, 947 in the province of Prato, 1,038 in Pistoia, 718 in Massa Carrara, 1,068 in Lucca, 1,291 in Pisa, 872 in Livorno, 750 in Arezzo, 653 in Siena, 426 in Grosseto. 171 people who died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region must be added.
The crude mortality rate for Covid-19 (number of deceased/resident population) is currently 317.2 per 100,000 residents. As far as the provinces are concerned, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (380.9 per 100,000 inhabitants), followed by Florence (373.2 x100,000) and Prato (366.9 x100,000), while the lowest is in Grosseto (196.3 x100,000).
