Formula One, Saudi Arabian GP, in Jeddah: ssurprise Verstappen who breaks the axle shaft and will start fifteenth. Well Leclerc, Perez on pole
There was a surprise yesterday, in qualifying. Here it is: Max Verstappen in Q2 he didn’t complete any laps because he broke the axle shaft, and in short, in today’s race, he will start from position number 15. Someone like him has the possibility of recovering everything he lost, but he will have motivated and tough people ahead who will try not to let it pass.
Too bad for Ferrari, especially for Leclerc, who finished with the second best time but who will start with 10 penalty positions due to the famous ECU change. Alright, now let’s get to the real stuff. With Sergio Perez that as well as last year at Jeddah he took pole position. Alonso will leave alongside him, the real surprise of this start of the season sitting in his Aston Martin. The Spaniard continues to be fast and in the race, especially at the start, he will try to get ahead. Russell will start in third position, then, immediately after, the other Ferrari, that of Carlos Sainz.
It will be a different race from what we all probably expected: a race that sees the protagonists behind who, however, are ready to come back. And that’s why it will be an exciting race, one not to be missed, with a difficult forecast. Unlike what has happened so far.
Formula One, where to watch the Saudi Arabian GP live on TV and in streaming
The Saudi Arabian GP on the Jeddah street circuit is scheduled for today, Sunday 19 March, at 18:00. The race will be visible live on TV and exclusively on the dedicated channel: Sky Sport F1 HD on channel 207 of the remote control. There is also the possibility of following them in streaming, thanks to the application Sky Go come on NOW, Sky’s live and on demand platform. The qualifications will be broadcast in the clear but deferred also on Tv8 (channel 8 and 508 HD of digital terrestrial, channel 121 of satellite) and on the site Tv8.it streaming. All this, in this case, starting at 21:30
The prediction
Perez is obviously the big favorite. The great favorite of this race. His Red Bull is the fastest car, the one that literally flies around the track. Only at the start, perhaps, could something important be seen, with Alonso who could seek immediate overtaking. But if the Mexican manages to hold the position, then for the final victory there could be very little to do. Finally, watch out for the possible and dreamed-of comeback by Leclerc, fast yesterday, and by Verstappen who paid for the faults not of him. The race will be fascinating, but he has a favourite, as mentioned.
