PIEVE DI BONO. The carabinieri of Riva del Garda arrested a 35-year-old man, an Italian resident in the Giudicarie per harassment and aggravated damage continued. In recent days, a woman in Pieve di Bono had denounced the destruction of the electrical panel of the house first and on the same night, a short time later, of her car, as acts by unknown persons.
Following investigations, the carabinieri discovered that the woman did not want to report all the events that had occurred in order not to embarrass her ex-partner. The situation actually escalated when the victim’s ex boyfriend set fire, in the night between 16 and 17 March, at the door of the woman’s house. In the light of the incident, the carabinieri first acquired the testimonies of the neighbors and subsequently made use of the video surveillance systems present in the area, recognizing the car of the suspect.
A few hours were enough for the carabinieri to obtain the precautionary custody order to be notified to the man, who was then arrested for the crimes of persecution and continued aggravated damage, and transferred to the Trento district house in Spini di Gardolo. The validation hearing will be held in the next few days.
