Sunday 19 March 2023 – Europa Verde Basilicata organizes a sit-in in defense of the coastal pine forest on Monday, March 20 at 210, in via Tre Passi nel Delirio in Marina di Nova Siri. The goal – a note specifies – is to raise public awareness of the umpteenth attempt to circumvent the laws of urban planning and the protection of the areas affected by the fire.
Trees are living beings, they breathe, feed, grow and reproduce, they are a fundamental and active part of the planet, the environment and our millenary culture.
Defending trees means defending our well-being, in the countryside and in the city.
Protecting woods and green spaces from aggression and soil consumption means defending our memory and guaranteeing a future for our planet abundantly compromised by pollution and wild overbuilding.
Trees absorb CO2 and through photosynthesis, they return about 50% of the oxygen we breathe. A life cycle for man, living beings and the global ecosystem.
Green Europe is asking for a law to be promulgated that protects forests and assigns public health infrastructure functions to trees and plants.
