“Last Saturday all the fragile creatures of the world lost a protector, a champion. A professional athlete, a brilliant researcher, a philosopher, a pet therapy operator, an animal rights activist (true) and a wonderful leader of the pack! You were joy, kindness, patience, love, energy, vitality, beauty, courage! It is perhaps useless to continue to praise you here, it pisses me off… everyone knows who you are, what you were capable of doing. You sowed powerful and vigorous seeds everywhere around you that improved and nourished lives. You knew how to be true, consistent with your temperament and this is the gift of genius, Baudelaire said”.

This is the message from OIPA – Italian Animal Protection Organization – Marsala section, which on behalf of the family of Oriana Bertolino, the 31-year-old who died in Gozo, Malta, after an accident on the quay that threw her onto the rocks and then into the sea, launches an important appeal to help them find homes for the kittens that Oriana saved and was caring for. “Adopting one of her kittens will honor her memory and help the family in this delicate moment in which managing these situations is complex. The associations will support you as she would have done” writes OIPA on its Facebook page.

To adopt them write to [email protected] or contact 380 36 72 699 only by message or whatsapp.
