The Civil Protection of Emilia Romagna has issued a “yellow” alert for thunderstorms for Wednesday. The warning specifies that “conditions favorable to the development of strong thunderstorms are expected throughout the region, easing in the evening, with possible associated effects and damage”. The Arpae meteorological service predicts an “increase in cloud cover during the night-early morning with scattered precipitation, mainly in the form of showers or short thunderstorms, extending from the plains near the Po to the remaining areas. The phenomena will end in the afternoon starting from the west, with clearings especially in the evening”. Minimum temperatures will be stationary, between 17 and 20 degrees in urban centers, while maximum temperatures will decrease, more markedly in the central-western sector, with values between 23 and 26 degrees. Winds will blow lightly, mainly between the east and north-east with temporary reinforcements and gusts in stormy areas. From Friday “a high pressure field will guarantee stable and sunny weather. In the following days the slight weakening of the anticyclone will lead to an alternation between clearings and temporary cloudiness, more likely in the western sector of the region where local showers are not excluded. Temperatures will initially tend to increase and then stabilize at values around 30/32 degrees in the maximum values”.
