Specialized training for 139 people living in the province of Pistoia, who have left the world of work and need to strengthen or update their skills. Omnia Srl provided it with the aim of reinserting them into the market. It is the result of the training project implemented by Omnia Srl – which is the leader of the initiative – in partnership with Cescot Pistoia Srl, Cedit centro diffusa imprese della toscana, Formetica, CNA formazione e sicurezza Scrl and Istituto Professionale di Stato per i Servizi Alberghieri e della Ristorazione Martini, Sismondi, Pacinotti di Pescia and Laboratorio Archimede Srl, financed by the Tuscany Region with resources from the PNRR relating to the “Programme for the Guarantee of Employability of Workers-GOL”.
The project consisted of 18 short training courses, lasting from 40 to 60 hours (for a total of 870 hours), and involved 60% women. The goal was to provide incisive training, thanks to the participation of teachers directly from the world of work, that is, physically operating in the sectors covered by the course. The subjects covered were many and varied: they ranged from preparation aimed at catering to the management of company accounting, from merchandising techniques to information and reception services, up to welding and much more.
The beneficiaries of the courses also included categories that benefit from social safety nets in the presence and absence of an employment relationship, beneficiaries of welfare income support, fragile or vulnerable workers, unemployed people without income support and workers with very low incomes. The project saw a deep collaboration with the public employment system and specifically with ARTI, which carried out the selection of citizens included in the work reintegration paths. The final result is the fruit of a synergy between the professional skills of the associative systems expressed by the economic categories and in the main professional schools.
