ALEXANDRIA – Anteas Trasporto Amico Alessandria returns to Ukraine to deliver an ambulance called ‘City of Alessandria’ to the Kharkiv hospital‘. Kharkiv, a few kilometers from Russia, was hit hard by bombings that razed homes and caused thousands of victims, including many children.
Il half was purchased thanks to the contribution of students, teachers and staff of the Istituto Superiore ‘Volta’ of Alessandria, of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Tortona and of many private individuals and companies, including the Ukrainian community of Alexandria.

The one that It will start on Friday 5th July and is the tenth mission organised by the associationand who, with her group of volunteers, was among the first to arrive (in March 2022) in the places where Ukrainian families were seeking refuge after the invasion by Russia. Anteas, in fact, organized three trips to the border, in Poland, and then reached Lviv, Kiev, Bu?a, Irpin’ and Kharkiv.

I volunteers, Luciano Cartolano, provincial president of Anteas, Nuccio Floridiavice president, Gianni and Matteo Crimaldi, Alberto Torra e Maurizio Maraschi of Anteas Falconara, will reach Ivano – Frankivs’k, where They will also deliver a load of medical supplies (diapers, detergents, masks, gloves, bandages, syringes, disinfectants) intended for hospitals, medical centers, nursing homes, and clothing and equipment to help the restart through sports practice.
During our last trip, in March, we received a request from the Italian ambassador for an ambulance, which we were able to fulfill thanks to the generosity and sensitivity of the ‘Volta’, of the Foundation, of people who confirm the great heart of Alessandria and the province. – underlines the president Cartolano – We will deliver what we have collected to Father Ivan Stefurak, director of the information department of the Archdiocese of Ivano-Frankivs’k, a fundamental contact, as well as a great friend, with whom we are developing the project ‘Ucrainian Health Projetc’ which has welcomed in Italy some children, affected by serious pathologies, today treated in the hospitals ‘Regina Margherita’ in Turin and ‘Salesi’ in Ancona“.
