Milan, 2 July 2024 – The collision between two scooters Kymco Agility at the crossroads between Bisceglie Street and Taeggi Calchi Streeta stone’s throw from the terminus of the red metro. A motorcyclist on the ground and the other who gets up and runs away on foot, leaving the vehicle later found to be stolen the previous Friday.

The accident happened a few minutes ago after 4.30pm Tuesday, July 2: the injured motorcyclist, aged 51, was transported to code red to the Policlinico for the serious injuries sustained in the impact with the other scooter.

The dynamics and the stolen scooter

The collision occurred at a traffic light intersection, although initial information suggests that both vehicles were traveling along Via Bisceglie, in opposite directions: the hit-and-run vehicle was presumably coming from Via Basilea, while the other vehicle was turning left onto Via dei Calchi Taeggi. The investigation into the dynamics and the hunt for the fugitive has been entrusted to the Radiomobile agents of the local police, who immediately started the search to track down the escaped motorcyclist: it seems that the motorcyclist lost a shoe in the accident and that he even went back to recover it, without worrying about providing assistance to the injured person. From the checks on the license plate of the abandoned Kymco, it emerged that the owner had reported its theft four days earlier.

Local police investigations

Help in identifying him could come from the words of any testimony who witnessed the clash and from the images recorded by the cameras of video surveillance installed in the area. A few dozen meters from that point, at the next intersection between via Bisceglie and via Parri, another accident, which occurred on February 15, 2023, had cost the life of the eighteen-year-old Davide Rosticci: on that occasion, a Skoda Fabia driven by a thirty-two-year-old had turned left towards Via Parri, cutting off the boy’s KTM 390, which was instead coming from Via Basilea and headed towards Via Bisceglie.
