Reggio Emilia, July 2, 2024 – “Ride in peace, Aldo”. He has passed away at the age of 68because of a diseaseone of the mechanics most esteemed in the paddock Cross World Championship: Provinces AldiniOf Bibbianoin the province of Reggio Emilia. He was a mechanic alongside the driver from Parma Michael Rinaldi when, in 1984, on Suzuki won the 125cc World ChampionshipThe two had met at Tgm when Rinaldi won 2nd place in the 1980 world championship, bringing the Martorano (Parma) company to global prominence.
Later, Cavallo was the technical manager of the teams managed by Rinaldi (various titles won also in the 250, first Suzuki and then Yamaha,) and then founded the Aldini Racing. A man who despite his success had remained humble and simple: little talk, great passion and always with a big generous heart, which made him appreciated by anyone who met him on the slopes of half the world.
Finally “Aldo” founded the Team Jtech Racing Suzuki Valenti with Gabriele Rinaldi (Team manager) with whom they had participated at the world championship MXGP class with the Belgian Ken de Dycker, MX2 with the rider Giuseppe Tropepe and European 125 with Emil Weckman riding a special created by the Emilian factory.
The Italian Motorcycling Federation as a whole, starting with the President John Copiolioffers its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of “Aldo”.
He leaves behind his wife Lorella, his children Elena and Marco, and his sister-in-law. The funeral, in civil form, will be held tomorrow (Wednesday, July 3rd) starting from the mortuary chapels of the Franchini hospital in Montecchio Emilia for the cemetery of Coviolo (Re), where the body will be cremated.
