An exciting DR2 Playoff round concludes between Navile Basket Bologna and AICS Junior Basket Forlì.
The boys from Forlì earned a well-deserved Promotion in two very tight final Playoff matches, the first of which was won by a narrow margin of 69-66 in a packed Palaromiti!!
But the real feat was accomplished on Sunday 9 June at home in Bologna, when the young Aiciessini, in a thrilling comeback, achieved the decisive victory with the final score 53-58.
The last quarter was masterful and noteworthy, with Forlì able to score a partial of 13-26 and overturn a match that seemed to be turning irremediably in favor of the opposing team.
The hard work carried out throughout the season by Coach Lorenzo Lazzarini, by the assistant Alessandro Vitali, under the supervision of the Technical Director Giampaolo Di Lorenzo, was rewarded. A special mention goes to the boys, who completed the championship holding the top of the standings with only one defeat, playing the final phase of the Playoffs with an open face and without trembling, putting legs and heart on the field for a sparkling and exciting game, capable of enthralling the public that in the final phases multiplied in numbers.
Now, with new energy and enthusiasm, we are preparing for a new challenge in the DR1 championship, formerly Serie D!!
