NAPLES (ITALPRESS) – The ceremony for the delivery of the Regional Award for Civil Protection Volunteer Associations, year 203, promoted by the Regional Association of former Councilors, took place in the “Caduti di Nassiriya” Hall of the Campania Regional Council Headquarters, with the participation of the President of the Campania Regional Council, Gennaro Oliviero, the Secretary Councilor of the Presidency Office Fulvio Frezza, the President of Arec Carmine Iodice, the Vice President Francesco Bianco, the members of AREC Giuseppe Venditto and Vincenzo Cappello.
During the initiative, six awards were given to as many Civil Protection Associations from the five provinces of Campania and the Metropolitan City of Naples, chosen among the most collaborative of the project “Assistance to the School Camps “I am also civil protection year 2023″.
“We are pleased to participate in this Arec initiative which is aimed at valorising the role played by the Associations involved in our Civil Protection and to underline their importance and their being a point of reference for prevention and for dealing with critical situations”, underlined President Oliviero.
“It is very important to support the Civil Protection volunteer organizations and encourage the involvement of young people in them to transmit the spirit of solidarity of civil protection to future generations and to help inclusive social models grow within them,” highlighted Councilor Frezza.
“I am proud of the initiative and very proud of our voluntary associations who also said they were surprised by the award received from the Regional Authority considering the fact that their commitment is carried out in a spirit of service towards the Region and this has very well expressed the atmosphere of sincerity and civic sense that characterizes them”, stated President Iodice.
“We are very satisfied and proud of this initiative that highlights and enhances the professionalism, organization and availability of the Civil Protection volunteer associations, which play a primary role in addressing multiple problems in the regional and national territory”, remarked Vice President Francesco Bianco.
The awards were given, for the province of Avellino, to the Impegno e Solidarietà Association, Coordinamento Rete Campania 2020; for the province of Benevento to the Paolisi Municipal Group; for the province of Caserta to the Casal di Principe Municipal Group; for the province of Salerno, to the Resilienza Costa d’Amalfi Association; for the metropolitan area of Naples, to the Italian Red Cross Ercolano Committee and to the Co.ni.ta Association.
