What Antonello Lovato did “considered as a whole, leads one to presume that he wanted to hide what had happened to avoid the conditions of irregularity and exploitation in which the worker found himself coming to light, as well as the very serious situation of irregularity of the company in terms of safety and health at work”. This is what the prosecutors of Latina write in the request for precautionary custody for Satnam Singh’s employer.
According to the prosecution’s case, the “probable motive” for Lovato’s “omission”, immediately after the accident at work involving Singh, “colours his conduct in terms of intent, at least possible intent”. And “the behaviours following the abandonment of the body in limine vitae corroborate the reconstruction made thus far, providing argumentative support for the reconstruction in terms of voluntary homicide”.
The prosecutors add that “Lovato hastily fled, by his own admission took care of washing the van and above all took care of stealing the cell phone from the victim and his wife, in order to avoid alerting the emergency services. Such malicious measures help to demonstrate that the primary intention of the suspect was to hide what had happened and that this intention was preordained to any other interest, a result to be achieved at all costs, even that of the life of others”.
