The Us Follonica Gavorrano club welcomes Esmeraldo Kondaj, a versatile midfielder who played for Taranto in the first part of last season.
For Esmeraldo Kondaj, born in 2001 in Montevarchi and with dual Italian and Albanian nationality, comes the new experience with the red and whites after those with Sangiovannese (Juniors and first team), the three seasons with Pianese and, indeed, Taranto in Serie C, where he collected 6 appearances in total before being released last February. Instead, there are 112 appearances in Serie D, with 13 goals scored.
A natural right-footer, as mentioned, he is a player who can cover various roles on the wings, from the right wing to the left wing, especially as a fifth midfielder, but he has also covered the role of mezzala in his career.
An arrow therefore for the bow of mister Marco Masi, who will be able to count on a player who interprets the game in an offensive manner and who is very eager to show off. “I am very eager to start the new season and relaunch myself after a difficult year – comments Kondaj – I know that the mister plays proactive football and makes the team play well, it is a type of football that I like a lot. Furthermore, I know the director Renato Vagaggini very well, as soon as he contacted me I had no doubts. I know Follonica Gavorrano well, a team that always aims to do well. So my choice was immediate, I am very happy to be here. It will have to be my year of redemption and I am very eager to repay the trust of the club. I want to do well on a personal level to give my contribution to the team”.
Kondaj will also meet up with some old teammates. “I played with Giulio Grifoni at Pianese,” he adds, “but also with Andrea Zini, I know them well and we have a good understanding. I hope that this year will be the same and that I will establish a great relationship with the other guys in the group.”
