Campania Region – “We are approaching the extraordinary Regional Council with the spirit of a moral imperative. Many citizens of Campania and Southern Italy are asking us to do so, as are many associations: the law on differentiated autonomy must be cancelled”. Thus, the president of the regional council of Campania Gennaro Oliviero who yesterday signed the green light for an extraordinary regional council that will be held on Monday 8 July from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm. “The law for the implementation of differentiated autonomy penalizes the South – continues President Oliviero – our protest as administrators starts from afar against a series of initiatives that the government has undertaken to the detriment of the development of the South. Here in Campania the politics of the administrators touches first-hand the problems of the people every day. Not giving the same opportunities to the South compared to Northern Italy is a political affront that we can no longer tolerate. We must provide concrete answers to our inhabitants, for this reason the differentiated autonomy must be cancelled”. “During the extraordinary Council – concludes Oliviero – sthe proposal to call an abrogative referendum will be discussed”. This is the proposal pursuant to Article 75 of the Constitution, Law 26 June 2024, number 86 (Provisions for the implementation of the differentiated autonomy of the Regions with ordinary statutes pursuant to Article 116, third paragraph, of the Constitution), published in the Official Journal general series no. 150 of 28 June 2024 – Reg.Gen.n.1/Delib.ne Con.re.
