PADOVA, TWO YOUNG DOC IN GOAL: FORTIN AND VOLTAN
Two Paduans, to defend the goal of Padova. After the farewells of Zanellati and especially Donnarumma, the latter particularly suffered given the captain’s armband and the over one hundred appearances accumulated in recent years by one of the best goalkeepers in the category, on whom Viale Rocco has decided not to bet for the future, Calcio Padova looks to the future: between the posts, this year, there will be two youngsters, but also two true Paduans.
Mattia Fortin, born in 2003, after his experience at Legnago returns to base and will be the starter of mister Andreoletti’s team: the son of art is promoted to number one biancoscudato after his exploit with the Verona team, 14 clean sheets in the season and even a penalty saved, coincidentally right to Liguori in the return match against Padova. A season that has consecrated him as a prospect to rely on. His deputy, however, will be another young returning horse: the Paduan Michele Voltan, born in 2001 fresh from a good season at Virtus Verona after having been in biancoscudato as third goalkeeper in the Mandorlini management and having also played with Campodarsego, Clodiense and Luparense. Two young up-and-coming Paduans, to defend the goalposts of their city’s team: having lost Radrezza, there is still a bit of Paduanness in the team to come.
