Give Montesole Resistant a collective rite that goes far beyond April 25th and extends to the days of the Commemoration of the Nazi-Fascist Massacre of Monte Sole in September, with cultural events that call together the pacifist and resistant community of today. Thus, from this dream of a community that meets to infect the new generations, LUPO. Not a festival, but a rite to sow ideas and cultivate peace – which will take place from 5th to 7th July – whose name pays homage to Mario Musolesi, the legendary Commander Lupo of the Red Star Brigade who fought in these territories against the Nazi-Fascist forces from November 1943. It was imagined by Ozono Factorywhich has been managing since 2021 The Poggiolo – Re_Existing Shelter in the Historic Park of Monte Sole, and Ridges A.p.s.

The protagonist of the days will be music, on the two stages set up in the Poggiolo area. It starts with a solo concert by the singer-songwriter Giovanni Truppiil July 5th at 8pm, at sunset. Followed by the Hysterraea band composed of four leading artists of World Music from different cultures and musical traditions, from Iran to Salento. And to close the evening will be Clap! Clap! internationally renowned Florentine producer and performer who has brought his live shows to clubs and stages all over the world.

Il July 6th at 8pm the stage is all for you Vinicio Caposselaaccompanied by a unique formation consisting of a string quartet and the Balkan fanfare Fan Fath Al. Capossela will also perform at sunset with his latest work Thirteen Urgent Songshis twelfth album released in spring 2023, alternating it with the most famous songs of South Roomthe album that consecrated him, which this year marks its thirtieth anniversary. The live is the result of the collaboration with the Crinali Festivala review included in Montagna Mia, the Apennine festival in Emilia-Romagna, an initiative of the Department of Culture and Landscape of the Emilia-Romagna Region. Saturday continues with live performances with a DJ set by Defeat ranging from jazz to African rhythms and, starting from midnight, with the traditional Ligurian sounds of the Today’s in a show in which Occitan, Scottish, Rigodon, Curente, Bourreè, Rondò, Mazurkas, Polkas and songs from Southern Italy alternate (the soul of the project is Sergio Caputo). The final set is up to BreadstickItalian DJ and producer, creator and promoter of the compilation IAFG – International Artists for Gazaa compilation of tracks by many artists from all over the world in support of the Palestinian population. The proceeds from the sale of the volumes are entirely donated to the “SOS GAZA” collection of the Banco Mutuo Soccorso of Milan together with the Gaza FREEstyle association.

Il July 7th starting at 4pm there is a DJ set by The Spy from Cairoproducer and musician who helped shape the New York underground dance scene for many years, and the day ends with the live between punk and dance hall of the Extraliscioat 6 pm. Access to the concerts on Sunday is free. Among the other events of LUPO on Friday 5 July the authors Toni Rovatti (University of Bologna), Alessandro Santagata (University of Padua), George Old (Alcide Cervi Institute) present the volume Cervi Brothers. History and Memoryand throughout the weekend there will be free workshops in painting, art therapy, holistic experiential, yoga for children, Hata yoga, jewelry creations, psychophony and folk singing, tarot reading, evolution mandala, guided walks by the Scuola di Pace di Monte Sole.

LUPO is part of Bologna Estate 2024, and is made possible by a collaborative effort between Ozono Factory Aps, Binario69, Crinali Aps, Il Poggiolo Rifugio Re_Esistente, the Municipality of Marzabotto, the Union of Municipalities of the Bolognese Apennines and thanks to the contribution of the Regional Committee for the Honors of the Fallen of Marzabotto.
