Ferrara With the arrival of the Pink nightthe city of Este is tinged with pink with dedicated initiatives, becoming an excellent alternative to the events on the Riviera. Also this year the great New Year’s Eve of the summer, scheduled from 5th to 7th Julywill brighten up Ferrara with a series of events designed for both citizens and tourists.
“This year too we are happy to host new events in a Pink Night full of news and appointments. In one of the historical settings, such as the Certosa Monumentale of Ferrara, we will welcome visitors and tourists for the dawn concert, which will be the highlight of the 2024 edition with the performance of the intense pianist Gile Bae“, says the councilor for tourism and promotion of the territory, Matthew Fornasini. “This is the fourth consecutive year in which many Ferrarese and non-Ferrarese will choose the Certosa Monumentale to attend one of the flagship events of the Notte Rosa in Ferrara: the dawn concert. Last Saturday 1000 spectators were moved with the performance of “Carmina Burana” at dusk, in a unique and fascinating setting, and I am convinced that also on Sunday at 6 am, those who choose to spend the dawn with us will be able to experience the same sensations”, he adds Luca Cimarellipresident of Ferrara Tua.
“The Pink Night is one of the most energetic and lively events of the summer, and it is the event that will transform the streets, squares and monuments into a kaleidoscope of lights, sounds and colors. The events and initiatives that the municipal administration of Ferrara has prepared are accompanied by the initiatives organised by “InFerrara”, a partner of the administration and responsible for the promotionmarketing of the city’s tourist product. Through trade associations we have in fact involved some commercial businesses in the city who have happily joined in creating initiatives in pink”, he concludes Patricia Guidi by InFerrara. For all three evenings, the Estense Castle, the fountain in Piazza della Repubblica and Porta Paola will be enhanced by pink lighting, which will enhance and characterize the architectural beauties of the city for the occasion.
Friday 5th July will be dedicated to “The night of formats”, a free entry event starting at 5pm in Piazza Ariostea with the music from the 90s, 00s and 10s. On Friday 5th and Saturday 6th July, Porta Paola – Documentation Centre on the Walls will remain open free of charge from 6pm to 11pm, in collaboration with Wine and Flavours Routewith the possibility for the curious to discover the history of the city walls.
Saturday 6th Julythe Estense Castle will also remain open from 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm (last admission 10:30 pm), with a special single entrance fee of 5 euros, plus a possible additional 2 euros for climbing the Torre dei Leoni to admire the panorama at sunset or at night. For those who would like to learn more about history of the Estense Castleat 9.30 pm a guided tour promoted by InFerrara will start, which can be purchased on the website inferrara.it or at the IAT of the Estense Castle (full price 10 euros, reduced 7 euros from 7 to 17 years old, free for children up to 6 years old).

The celebrations will end with the first lights of July 7th, at 6:00, with the now traditional Dawn Concert at Monumental CharterhouseThe star will be acclaimed pianist Gile Bae.
