Olbia. Summer has finally arrived and tourists who have chosen to spend their holidays in the first months of the summer season, which should be the least chaotic, are continuing to arrive in the city of Olbia. Unfortunately, there are the first endless queues of cars in some parts of the city.
In particular from the industrial area of Olbia and towards the first beaches of Olbia, to be clear near the Pittulongu area, where for a few days the road has been one-way, with traffic lights, for extraordinary works. This is creating long lines of cars and public transport going from the city to the sea and vice versa, creating inconvenience for tourists and the population during the summer period. “I am writing to you because a situation like this is not normal, yesterday I was stuck for almost half an hour waiting to pass that stretch where they are carrying out the works to get to my house”, writes to our editorial staff a reader and citizen of Olbia.
“I wonder if it is legal to do a certain type of work in the summer, in the middle of the season, in a place, among other things, that is super dangerous. There are well-known cases of fatal fires that have occurred over the years right there, in the Pittulongu area. As if that were not enough, a little further on, on the elevated road that connects the Costa Smeralda to the center of Olbia, everything is already blocked! In this case too, minutes if not almost an hour stopped, without advancing even half a centimeter, among cars and motorcycles trying to make space for themselves.
