The Première Vision textile fair kicks off today and will run until July 4. The event, which takes place in a Paris already congested in view of the Olympics, focuses on the presentation of the 2025-2026 autumn-winter collections. As it turns out, the French event, which was a great attraction in past seasons also for the Prato district, has been experiencing a constant decline in participation by local companies for some editions now. A direction that emerges more clearly if we compare it with how many entrepreneurs have decided to join the 39th edition of Milano Unica, scheduled for July 9-11.

The numbers speak for themselves: 18 companies are participating in Première Vision compared to 55 in the corresponding 2023 edition and 20 participants in January 2024. There was a boom in registrations at Milano Unica, which this time counts 118 exhibitors from the district compared to 95 in the corresponding 2023 edition and 101 in January 2024.

Here are some of the Prato producers (including the district’s top brands) who have decided not to leave the Parisian showcase: Bonacchi Velluti, Ego, Fabrica Tessuti, Fiorenzatulle, Giolica, In.tes.pra., Inwool Jersey, Lane di Prato, Lanificio Brunetto Morganti & C., Lanificio Faisa, Lyria, Manifattura Paola, Manifattura Tessile Toscana, Manteco, Microtex Cotton Club, Paoletti Tessitura, Ta-Bru, Tex-Luis. After all, Milano Unica intends to become the point of reference for quality textiles in the world: a careful selection of exhibitors is planned for participation.
