Double appointment for next weekend at the Saxophone Museum in Fiumicino, as part of the summer festival “Fai bei suoni!”.
On Saturday 6th July at 9pm a tribute to the great Pino Daniele and his hometown, Naples, is scheduled with Mal Di Te, a musical project curated by Giulia Maglione dedicated to the musical legacy left by the great artist. A truly special tribute concert that closely interprets the Neapolitan spirit of the meeting of souls, but also the creator of sharing experiences, emotions and empathy generated between people who are fundamentally different from each other but united by a very strong love for music, culture and art in general.
“Mal di te – says Maglione – is a project studied in every little detail, very different from the countless covers that we have had the opportunity to know or listen to in these years, especially after the premature death of Pino Daniele. A tribute to the artist conceived in a version oriented to exalt his rhythmic and musical characteristics, trying to enhance his poetic texts and revealing their meanings, even the less obvious ones but which always show a beauty that leaves you breathless every time”.
The Iesaino’ Band will perform on stage, made up of Andrea Panzera on guitar, Umberto de Santis on double bass, Andrea Borrelli on percussion and drums, with Maurizio Yorck, narrator of the show, who will contribute to enriching the band’s performance by telling important anecdotes and curiosities of the artistic career of the Neapolitan musician.
The chosen repertoire offers a selection of songs that mix the characteristic sound of blues, jazz, funk and Neapolitan music, creating a unique atmosphere that captures the soul of the city, highlighting recurring themes such as love, passion, daily life and the challenges of urban life. In addition to the artist’s original songs – from songs from his first albums “Terra mia”, “Vai mo” and “Nero a metà” to Napul’è, which has now become a symbol of a city with a heart that continues to beat – some reinterpretations of classics will be included, which in full respect of the original composition, will celebrate his musical legacy and the contaminations that the artist has had during his extraordinary artistic journey.
The concert, at a cost of €17.00 (tickets on sale on site or on the Liveticket.it website), is preceded by the traditional aperitif, optional, at a cost of €15.00.

Sunday 7 July at 9:30 pm the concert is dedicated to the art of music in cinema with The Cinema Show Quartet, an original jazz reinterpretation guided by the masterful arrangements of its leader Paolo Bernardi, who wants to celebrate some of the most famous soundtrack authors in the world. First of all, obviously the Italian sacred monsters, from Ennio Morricone to Nino Rota, from Stelvio Cipriani to Armando Trovajoli. An unrepeatable generation of musicians who, thanks to the encounter with an equal group of directors of the caliber of Federico Fellini, Luchino Visconti, Sergio Leone and Giuseppe Tornatore, just to name a few, has churned out, especially starting from the 60s and 70s, unforgettable films. An extremely prolific and suggestive artistic union that, accompanying the explosion of the film market and the contemporary affirmation of the new means of communication represented by television, has contributed to making Italian cinema famous throughout the world. The event, with free admission, is part of the Jazz & Movies festival, a project sponsored and created thanks to the contribution of the Administration of the city of Fiumicino – Public notice for the programming of tourist-cultural events to promote the territory for the Fiumicino summer 2024 – which intends to invite the rediscovery of Italian musical genius applied to the fascinating world of the seventh art and bring to the attention of the general public an extraordinary creative season that has expressed itself without equal.

The Saxophone Museum is conceived and managed by the Centro Studi Musicali Torre in Pietra, with the Patronage of the Municipality of Fiumicino and the Belgian Embassy.
