BRESCIA, GYM TEAM AZZURRA: 40 YEARS OF PASSION AND BIG DREAMS

The Asd Gym Team Azzurra of Nave has turned forty. An anniversary of undoubted significance that deserves to be underlined and that was officially celebrated in recent days on the occasion of the end-of-year show. A perfectly successful show, which saw the participation of sixty young athletes, from the youngest in Primary School to the older ones in High School, and was “embellished” by the very welcome presence of a surprise guest like Vanessa Ferrari, silver medalist in floor exercise at the Tokyo Olympics and multiple medalist in various World and European Championships. The Italian champion, who made herself available to greet the athletes of the Gym Team Azzurra and for the ritual photos, really gave a nice gift to the gymnasts of Nave who in their exercise that concluded an entire season of commitment and enthusiasm dedicated to artistic gymnastics in this particular year wanted to dedicate a series of collective exercises to the Olympic dream. From the lighting of the Olympic torch to the dance of the games, from the awards on the podium to arriving in Paris drawing a giant Italian flag, the wise man of the Nave company wanted to pay homage to the great “flight” of the five rings. A journey marked by the desire to do and build something positive through artistic gymnastics which, after all, was the fertile base that forty years ago pushed a young man, just become a coach, and a group of girls to try their hand at this discipline. Since then, a lot of road has been traveled and much more will be traveled in the future, always in the name of a special love for artistic gymnastics that makes the future of the Gym Team truly… Blue.
