“Enjoy” the extraordinary spectacle of Taranto seen in the evening from the sea, or rather from its two seas, living an exceptional sensory experience, with culture, music and the excellence of local food and wine!

This is the proposal of “Note in onda”, the new initiative born from the collaboration between Kyma Mobilità and the Posizione Note agency of Leandra Attanasio, with the patronage of Puglia Promozione and the Municipality of Taranto.

This was announced in a press release issued by the Taranto-based company itself.

It is a review with six themed events aboard the Kyma Mobilità motorboats, six magical evenings with a journey that is not just a maritime tour, but a real immersion in the senses and beauties of our wonderful city.

There will be six themed evenings that will “enrich” the traditional evening tourist tour of the Kyma Mobilità motorboats with theatrical readings designed to make you experience fascinating stories that talk about the sea, adventures and mysteries. There will also be live music by important artists who will perform popular repertoires that range between genres and styles, creating the ideal atmosphere for every moment of the evening.

These are moments of culture and entertainment made even more “appetizing” by the tasting of delicious dishes of traditional Taranto cuisine, accompanied by wine from important “labels” of the area.

The first event is “Luci sul mare” which will be held on Friday 5 July: departure is scheduled for 8.00 pm, with boarding from 7.30 pm, from Piazzale Democrate where you will return at around 10.30 pm.

The cost of the ticket is €27 with purchase at the Kyma Mobilità Sales Office, in via D’Aquino n.21.

Radio Cittadella will broadcast the evenings live, hence the name of the initiative “Note in Onda” referring both to the waves of the sea and those of the airwaves on which the notes of the evenings will travel!

The “Note in Onda” program includes five other events: July 19 “The song of the sirens”, August 2 “The devotion of sailors”, August 16 “Divine chatter”, August 30 “Where do fairies live?” and September 6 “Voices in the alleys”.

With several stops at sea for theatrical readings and concerts, as well as food and wine tastings, each mini-cruise of “Note in Onda” begins with a tour of the Mar Piccolo where immediately – still with the light – you can admire up close the vortices of the “citri”, particular underwater springs of fresh water, to then reach the second inlet passing under the Punta Penna Bridge and, subsequently, return on the opposite side, skirting the Arsenale and the Torpedo Station.

The motor vessel then crosses the Navigable Canal and, after passing under the Swing Bridge and alongside the Aragonese Castle, heads into the Mar Grande to allow passengers to admire the Old City up to the Ponte di Pietra, and then the Lungomare del Borgo Umbertino with its majestic buildings, a breathtaking sight that fascinates tourists and makes the people of Taranto proud.

On the way back: after crossing the Navigable Canal again, the Kyma Mobilità motor vessel skirts the old city with the fishing boats moored on Via Garibaldi, returning to the mooring at Piazzale Democrate.
