Four days of navigation for 1500 kilometers. The Geo Barents, the ship of Doctors Without Borders, arrived this morning in the port of Ancona. On Thursday, in two separate operations in the Mediterranean, it rescued 34 desperate people, crammed onto fiberglass boats, adrift off the coast of Libya. According to the indications from Rome, the 34 migrants who left Libya and were rescued by Geo Barents should be hosted in the Marche region. The unaccompanied minors, who should be 6 (but the number is subject to change) will be taken care of in the emergency facilities in Ancona.
