Miss Livorno 2024 begins, first casting at Fonti del Corallo

This year too, it will offer moments of fun and entertainment immersed in the fascinating world of fashion, dance, music, art and sport: Miss Livorno, 34th editionis ready to go, to return to the stage with a new program, which will end as is now customary in the location of the Mascagni Terrace. There are two dates to mark on your calendar: August 8th at 9.15 pm is the date for the fashion show of the Livorno “girls” with catwalk shows, the awarding of many titles and prizes and the proclamation of Miss Livorno 2024. The following day, August 9th (also at 9.15 pm), as is customary, the event Miss Livorno will marry charity: the second evening at Terrazza Mascagni, in addition to presenting the Miss elected the previous evening (who will parade for emerging Tuscan designers) will host the DJFull Time Riccardo Cioni Association, whose members will give life to the 4th Riccardo Cioni Memorial with artists, DJs and personalities from the world of entertainment (also expected, at least on video, Carlo Conti, Pupo and other “friends” of the popular DJ from Livorno who passed away prematurely), who will perform in order to implement a fundraiser to be allocated to local organizations and associations operating in the health and social-assistance sector.

Castings and selections

I “talent scout” of Miss Livorno have already been at work since the beginning of June in beach resorts, clubs on the Livorno and Pisan coast (Tirrenia and Marina di Pisa), meeting points for young people (Moletti, Venice etc.) looking for girls to be included as protagonists in the event. Like in previous years, there will be numerous castings and selections that will take place throughout the month of July and that will once again excite, get people talking, arouse curiosity and gain sympathy. The next casting, to which all girls interested in approaching the event even just out of curiosity are invited, will be at Fonti del Corallo on Wednesday 3 July from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm; on the second floor (food area) of the Porta a Terra Shopping Center, girls and parents (whose presence is always welcome), will be able to ask questions and clarify any doubts. Fonti del Corallo, also this year the main partner of Miss Livorno and of the Cronosax Acli that organizes, will host in the month of July two afternoon appointments of “Fashion and Miss in Galleria”, on the 19th and 26th. On the catwalk for the occasion the brands present inside the Porta a Terra shopping center.

Miss Livorno a “sui generis” event

Miss Livorno can be considered a “sui generis” event compared to many other competitions that take place at a national level. Our Miss di scoglio cannot be classified as a simple beauty contest: it is a real show, an initiative accessible to all the girls “next door”, which allows participants to get involved and overcome shyness in front of a large audience, to express their artistic passion (in singing, dancing, acting), to savor, with professionalism but always in a context in which the ultimate goal is fun, the world linked to the catwalk, advertising, theater and television.

Fashion and Entertainment

And the one that will end in August at the Terrazza, with the patronage of the Municipality of Livorno (tourism and major events office of the councilor Rocco Garufo) and of Confcommercio Livorno, will represent a sort of real show with fashion show, a “format” in which the beauty factor will be just a small piece of a big puzzle. And it will be yet another chapter that will confirm a general rule that has always been the basis of this happening: that of putting the “little girls” of Livorno in the foreground and valorizing them, of offering them a means to grow, to know themselves, to overcome fears, to accept victories and defeats, moments of glory and disappointments and to bring out passions that could also have a future in the world of work. This year, moreover, Miss Livorno will launch with greater force the fight against femicide, the fight against discrimination and the promotion of gender equality.

Miss Livorno’s numbers

Over the years, hundreds of girls have walked the “catwalks” of Miss Livorno, thousands of spectators have attended the many evenings of entertainment, many organizations, associations, companies and institutions have been involved, dozens and dozens of young artists, singers, comedians, illusionists (who later went on to establish themselves in the world of entertainment) have been launched onto a stage for the first time.

The “numbers” linked to the “world” of Miss Livorno are truly remarkable: even the web has rewarded the popular event in recent years, with over 100,000 views of the videos and posts published on social channels.

National competitions

Since 2014, Miss Livorno has been paired with “Miss Blu Mare”, a national competition that is on the rise (the 2024 final of which will be held aboard the MSC fleet’s “Fantasia”), which has already brought great satisfaction to “our” misses over the past seven years. The newly elected contestant at Terrazza Mascagni in August will automatically be able to take the cruise, probably accompanied by other adventure companions (last year, six Livorno girls went on board). A dream vacation, with the dream come true of getting closer to the world of entertainment. Who will inherit the crown of Carolina Cappa, Miss Livorno 2023? The first indications could arrive as early as Wednesday at the Fonti del Corallo casting: appointment from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm for all the little girls from the rock.
