PIEDMONT – After the Tour de France, Piedmont he got a taste for it and 2025 could be the year of the Vueltathe cycling tour of Spain. The president of the Region said, Alberto Ciriorevealing that in 2025 “Piedmont is on the home straight, we are sprinting”.
“The ATPs have given us a huge lesson, they have made us grow in maturity as event organizers making us understand how they must be multi-year. – he added – and if we think about the start of next year’s Vuelta we are on the home straight to bring it home, but we must connect this to the ATP Finals for which we will have two years of continuation“.
Cirio explained that the Tour de France was “a huge opportunity for Piedmont because in these hours 200 countries of the world, over 12 million people, have seen Piedmont through cycling and are savouring its beauty”. “The direct impacts are certainly higher than 15 million but the impacts of major sporting events are promotion because if we had to pay for advertising in 200 countries around the world for at least 5 hours of live television there wouldn’t be enough money.”, Cirio added.
