New chapter in the “Drug Market” operation by the Pescara financial police which led, at dawn on Tuesday 2 July, to the execution of 5 arrests and 3 house arrests.
The target of the raid was drug dealing just a click away on the Rome-Pescara axis with rivers of drugs sold on social media.

With anto of price list and photos of the goods for the sale of narcotics via social media. There are 5 traffickers arrested and 3 obligations of residence executed because they would have managed a drug dealing ring with online orders and deliveries on the Rome-Pescara axis.

The restrictive measures, issued following investigations carried out with coordination in the direction between the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Pescara Court and the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Juvenile Court of L’Aquila, were carried out by the Guardia di Finanza of the Provincial Command of Pescara, with the assistance of the aircraft of the naval air operations department of the Adriatic capital, since the first light of dawn.

The investigations, which began in 2022, would have allowed us to reconstruct the movements of the network of drug dealers who, coordinated by the direction of a single family unit, had set up a lucrative online market for the pre-sale of drugs. The narcotics, accompanied by price lists, were advertised on the main social channels, with lots of posts and photographs. This method of sale and purchase allowed the sale of cocaine, hashish and marijuana to users who, by connecting to specific invitation links, could place orders, make appointments and collect goods 24 hours a day. Among the most active pushers and those dedicated to supplying the “circle”, there would also be a minor, who ended up in handcuffs, and some already detained who managed to bring the drugs into the prison, taking advantage of visits from relatives. The investigations documented over 45 kilos of narcotics sold, for an illicit turnover of over one million euros. In collaboration with the penitentiary police, seizures were also made in flagrante delicto, for a total of 6 kilos of hashish, 20 grams of cocaine and more than 2 thousand euros in cash. Numerous searches were carried out on individuals involved in various capacities in the investigations and several arrests were made against buyers, in confirmation of the illicit activity. The consumers were reported to the prefectural authorities.
