I am delighted to learn of the appointment by the Minister of University and Research, Senator Anna Maria Bernini, of the new President of the Academy of Fine Arts of Catanzaro in the person of Professor Stefania Mancuso. Professor Mancuso is a professional of high cultural depth and great experience also in the training field and I am certain that she will be able to give her important impetus, together with the Director Professor Architect Virgilio Piccari, to the Academy of Catanzaro certainly contributing to its growth at a national and international level. With that of Catanzaro, the Academy of Fine Arts of Reggio Calabria has an ancient relationship of collaboration, recently strengthened also by the approval of the Performing project, selected among the winners of the call for the granting of funding intended for the internationalization of the Institutes of Higher Education in Art and Music (AFAM) within the PNRR, of which the Academy of Catanzaro is the leader and the Academy of Reggio Calabria is a partner. Together with the Director of AbaRc Pietro Sacchetti, I extend to Professor Mancuso and the entire Board of Directors, my heartfelt wishes for good work, hoping for an increasingly fruitful collaboration between our Academies for the development of the artistic culture of our land and for the identification of shared strategies that create ever greater opportunities for our students.
