Rimini, mister Buscè’s ‘first’: “I bring enthusiasm and professionalism”

“This seemed like the most suitable outfit for me.” This is how Antonio Buscè begins to tell his decision to say yes to Rimini. It will be his first adventure among the professionals and the desire to get there as soon as possible can be read in the eyes of the Campania coach that the red and whites announced over a month ago. “This seemed like the right situation for me,” he says immediately. “I immediately found a feeling with the management. The spark was immediate.” Not from father to son, but from son to father. Because Antonio is not the first Buscè to have passed through Piazzale del Popolo. “In fact, I know the environment because my son was there a few years ago,” he recalls. “In my opinion, the club did a good job last year and even the coach, after a somewhat so-so start, did some great things. I try to bring enthusiasm, which should never be lacking. I try to bring professionalism, trying to make as few mistakes as possible, because never making mistakes is not possible. You can make mistakes, but then improve day after day.” Buscè preaches the culture of work. “When I go to the field to work I go to do what I like to do. Even when I was already playing I thought that one day I would be a coach. I want to improve every day, to be the one who talks to the director, the players, the staff to understand where to improve, where to make fewer mistakes, where to do something more. I am a rookie in the category. I made myself and I earned everything on my own”.

In a month, since the day he was hired, he has already sat down several times with the technical director Di Battista and the other managers of Rimini to map out the path to follow. “In this month – he says – we have seen the structure where we will go on retreat. I have to watch many games, being a rookie, many players and find an idea that unites everyone a bit to find a squaring of the team. Everything is done by trying to do things making as few mistakes as possible”. On the objectives to be achieved, Buscè dribbles and also on the market.

And also on Morra and Lamesta… “The club didn’t ask me anything, the club wanted a coach with my characteristics, but that doesn’t mean you have to invent the moon”, he says. Buscè tells his story from the beginning. “I spent ten years in the youth sector at Empoli and I went through the whole process. It’s something that was very useful to me because it’s one thing when you play and another when you do something else. I was lucky enough to see masters who passed through Empoli, with a mentality and a philosophy that made the difference. Having the mentality to improve not only the youngsters but also the ‘old man’ of 34, to make everyone grow, this is my goal. I love talking to the boys because first of all they are human beings. The human aspect is fundamental, motivations too”.
