“You will end up like Pierina”

“You will end up like Pierina”, “Coward”. Then other insults, unrepeatable: this is supposedly the content of the messages that appeared in the condominium on via del Ciclamino, in Rimini, where Pierina Paganelli was stabbed to death on October 3.

There is a suspect for the murder, Louis Dassilva, 34 years old, who was having an extramarital affair with Manuela Bianchi, Pierina’s daughter-in-law.

And it was Louis who apparently erased these writings along the stairs leading to the basement of the building at number 31, a few metres away from where Pierina was attacked and killed with 29 stab wounds nine months ago.

The alarm was raised yesterday morning by a resident who came across the graffiti while climbing the stairs. She then contacted the police. The woman then told the police that she had seen Louis Dassilva come down to clean up the messages.

Suspicions have therefore fallen on Valeria Bartolucci, Dassilva’s wife. When the Flying Squad, led by Chief Commissioner Marco Masia, arrived, the messages were almost completely illegible. Investigations have been started to trace the author (or authoress) of the writings. The doubt remains: to whom were the insults and threats addressed? Everything points to Manuela Bianchi. Doubts and mysteries that only make the mystery even more tangled. Manuela had already received anonymous letters in the past months and insulting writings had also appeared against her. On her front door and also in her car.
