CUPRAMONTANA, 1 July 2024 – Great evening of football at the Sauro Ippoliti of Cupramontana, who with the triumph of Tre Castelli in the Under 17 final the 5th edition of the “Giuliani-Venanzoni-Pastori” Memorial ends in style, organized by Cupramontana, this year with well 22 teams, including 10 in the Under 17 category.

Castelfrettese 3rd place

The final wait for the 1st place in fact sees the domination of Tre Castelli, who after a triumphal path without ever having lost becomes champion by beating 4-0 the Borghetto (who deserve credit for having fought in the final until the end) with goals (all in the second half) by Alassane Traore, Davide Mencucci, Samuele Volpi and Mevale Konè which gave the final, the cup and the party to the Biancoblu club, celebrated by a beautiful crowd that came to cheer on its champions, giving a beautiful image of sport.

Monserra 4th place

In the final at 7pm valid for the 3rd/4th place, Castelfrettese got the better of Monserra after a very balanced match, which saw the “Frogs” take lead twice between the first and second half with two goals Lorenzo Bontempi before being reached on both occasions by Monserra, first with Nicola Lorenzetti and then with a penalty by Samuele Capitanelli. The final awards were given by Terzo Capogrossi, president of Cupramontana, Enrico Giampieri, mayor of Cupramontana, Valentino Di Guglielmo, sports councilor, and the Mr. Giuliani and Mr. Venanzoni representing the families of Valentino Giuliani and Fabio Venanzoni, two historic managerial figures of Cuprense football.

In the closing ceremony, the 4 teams that reached the final phase were awarded of the Under 17 and Alessio Polenta of Castelfrettese, who was awarded as the tournament’s top scorer after a fantastic run with 9 goals in 6 games.

With the double disadvantage, Borghetto was forced to expose itself and leave space for the offensive ideas of Tre Castelli, who in the 77th minute signed the 3-0 with Samuele Volpi, who entered the area with the ball at his feet and with a powerful right foot shot scored behind Bernotti. The icing on the cake was Mevale Konè who, after a super performance in midfield in all 90 minutes, in the 81st minute won and converted the penalty for the final 4-0, which closed the accounts in the final and started the deserved celebration of Tre Castelli, encouraged throughout the match by an excellent crowd.
