It ended with the 6 years and 6 months of prison sentence for the then councilor of the municipality of Anzio Patrizio Placidi the first degree of judgment of the trial related to the investigation Evergreen of the Nettuno Financial Guard.
The Guardia di Finanza, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Velletri, had contested the defendants’ request for bribes for the purchase of street furniture, for an amount less than 40 thousand euros, without the need to resort to a public notice. Identified on the MePA, the companies, according to the accusation, were contacted to verify their willingness to divert a part of the sums paid by the municipality of Anzio to a fictitious cooperative for services of a non-existent intermediation.
In addition to Patrizio Placidi, those under investigation include: the municipal manager Walter Dell’Accio and the employee Marco Folco and Sabrina Mercuri were all acquitted on this charge, including the former councilor.
Also acquitted by the Supreme Court was the then municipal councilor Donatello Campa, who after having pleaded guilty to a first-degree sentence filed an appeal and was acquitted in the final degree of judgment. The conviction instead is linked to the 2nd charge which concerns the relationship with the entrepreneur from Ardea Caronti, and the issue of the supply of the vehicles of the Ardea company to the Autogrill in Nettuno. Caronti was sentenced to the same penalty as councilor Placidi.
The prosecutor had not found any crimes in this case, and the former councilor, through his lawyers, has already announced an appeal.
