After the disappointment of the last championship, Pavia Calcio is ready to start again from the Eccellenza, in search of that much desired promotion to Serie D that for years has been the dream of fans and club.
Today’s revival appears even more significant, because after years the logo of the Pavia team changes completely: the primary colors, namely blue, red and white, are reconfirmed by taking on new forms, the initials, the city’s coat of arms and the year of foundation stand out.
“The previous logo belonged to the fans – commented the general manager Antonio Dieni, in the press conference held on Monday 1 July in the new press room of the Fortunati stadium -: Pavia Calcio must belong to the city, to those who put money and effort into it, what belongs to the supporters will remain with them and with the history of the club”.
“The logo is changing but I confirm that the name will remain Ac Pavia 1911 – Dieni reiterated -: we were in the past and will continue to be in the future; we are the team of the city”.
“Our path has brought a clear improvement in the fields, the facilities and above all in the youth sectors, which have been achieving important results for years – explained the general manager of Pavia Calcio -: ours is a project that has very specific objectives and for years we have been moving towards achieving what we set ourselves at the beginning of the journey. In recent seasons we have come very close to promotion; this year, with important confirmations, right grafts from a technical and character point of view, and with the freshness and talent of our young players, we will try to improve further”.
The first press conference of the season, in addition to the presentation of the new logo, saw the official presentation of the new sporting director Ivan Zampaglione and the confirmation of mister Stefano Bellinzaghi at the helm of the team. (G.R.)
