PROGRAM 02 JULY 2024

REPUBLIC SQUARE

Siegfried Ranucci – 9.15pm

Italian journalist, television author and television presenter. Since the nineties he has worked at Rai as a correspondent and author of information programmes. Since 27 March 2017 he has hosted the television program Report, broadcast on Rai 3. Together with his team, every day he dedicates himself to examining information, connecting events, listening to voices to decide how to tell the news that someone would like to remain silent. Guest at Ombre Festival in last year’s edition, he returns to present us his latest work “The Choice” published by Bompiani. For the first time Ranucci talks about the path that led him here; he does it by retracing the most uncomfortable investigations among those proposed by Report over the years, also telling the background. But in his book, Ranucci also tells a lot about himself, his family of origin and his “acquired” family: that is, the one that sees in Milena Gabanelli and Roberto Morrione two professional “parents”, two very important figures who glimpsed in him those qualities for which he would later become famous, and which led him to practice that beautiful and difficult profession of which today he is the recognized master. Presents Paolo Casini and Marina Bernini.

GESU’ SQUARE

Then the painting begins on the canvas and on the dancer’s body. Continuous exchange of colors which leads to the completion of the work in a short but interminable period of time. In front of the public, far from the tranquility of a studio. Thanks also to the energy of another artist.

Giovanni Falcone school network – 9.30 pm

THE NETWORK OF SCHOOLS FOR LEGALITY “GIOVANNI FALCONE” in collaboration with Ombre Festival, presents the finalists of the “RETE FALCONE AS 23/24” call. Many young students have been sensitized throughout the entire school year by the engaging and assiduous work of the teachers of the network, to the civil and educational value, encouraging their free, creative and spontaneous expression on the theme of legality, through various types of production: written essay, poster, amateur commercial/short, photo shoot. Participation in the competition has seen several and multiple opportunities for discussion, reflection, elaboration as well as personal growth for all students on the theme linked to the concept of active citizenship and legality, to be understood as a value that is not abstract, but concrete. The Network was born in 2016 at the instigation of the “Cardarelli” High School of Tarquinia and officially inaugurated on April 27, 2017. Today it includes 33 Schools belonging to the territory of Civitavecchia and the province of Viterbo and, as foreseen by the Statute, each year has a different Leader.

This year, this role has been attributed to the Istituto Omnicomprensivo F.lli Agosti of Bagnoregio.
