Stop the Orte – Fiumicino trains

Regional trains on the Orte – Rome – Fiumicino Airport line will be subject to limitations and cancellations. We are talking about a very important line that, every day, brings many commuters from the province of Viterbo to the Capital and beyond. Problems also for those coming from Sabina, such as Poggio Mirteto and Fara Sabina.

The same fate also applies to the Monterotondo – Cesano and Fara Sabina – Cesano lines, two lines that nevertheless represent an alternative for those who need to reach the main Roman airports. To overcome the inconvenience, Trenitalia has planned a bus service between the stations of Orte – Monterotondo, Monterotondo – Poggio Mirteto, Monterotondo – Fara Sabina and Orte – Roma Ostiense.

In order to guarantee the mobility of travellers, on the days of the railway interruption a service will be set up with 50-seater large tourism vehicles between Monterotondo and Fara Sabina/Poggio Mirteto/Orte and vice versa.

Furthermore, some regional trains of the Rome – Florence and Rome – Chiusi connections are limited/originating from Orte. Furthermore, the regional train 4536 of the Rome – Terni connection will not stop for passenger service at the Fara Sabina station.

Regional trains in fits and starts

This is just the latest in a long series of interruptions and limitations of regional trains. The FL2 Roma – Tivoli trains have recently been active again. The Castelli Line, the FL4 that travels from Termini, passes through Ciampino and reaches Frascati, Albano and Velletri, will stop from July 23 to August 31. From July 10 to September 8, the FL3 Cesano – Viterbo trains will also stop, with many citizens and villages of Tuscia cut off from rail mobility.
