From 3 to 7 July 2024, the historic center of Perugia will host the eleventh edition of the “L’Umbria che Spacca” festival, an event that stands out for the richness and variety of its proposals. Organized by Roghers Staff APS, the festival will offer an intensive five-day programme, including concerts, meetings and talks on various themes, involving around 200 artists and 59 bands on eight stages spread across the city.

In this edition, the festival is enriched with illustrious names from the Italian and international contemporary music scene. Among the protagonists, artists of the caliber of Mahmood, Salmo, Noyz Narcos, Colapesce Dimartino, Fulminacci, La Sad, Giovanni Truppi, Enrico Nigiotti, Dente, Michelangelo, Nada, Casadilego, Micah P. Hinson, Any Other, and Frankie Hi-Nrg MC will perform. Many of the shows are already sold out, testifying to the anticipation and enthusiasm of the public.

In addition to music, the festival will also offer meetings and talks focused on topics of social disclosure and artificial intelligence. These events will help create an environment for reflection and discussion on highly topical topics.

On July 1st, the press conference to present the festival was held in the Salone d’Onore of Palazzo Donini in Perugia. In the presence of numerous authorities, including Aimone Romizi, artistic director of the festival, and Andrea Mancini, president of Roghers Staff, the details and objectives of the event were illustrated. Donatella Tesei, president of the Umbria Region, underlined the importance of the festival in the regional cultural panorama, highlighting the strong support of the Umbria Region.

The mayor of Perugia, Vittoria Ferdinandi, expressed the city’s pride in hosting an event that enhances culture and the local community. The Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria, with its new director Costantino D’Orazio, will actively participate in the festival with artistic events inside the museum.

Daniele Parbuono and Francesco Asdrubali, representatives of the universities of Perugia, highlighted the importance of the festival as a platform for cultural and social exchange. Fabrizio Stazi, general director of the Fondazione Perugia, reiterated the foundation’s support for the event and for the Roghers Staff.

The musical program will mainly take place on the stages of the Frontone Gardens and the Medieval Botanical Garden. The Main Stage will see performances by leading artists such as Colapesce Dimartino, Fulminacci, Mahmood, Salmo and Noyz Narcos, while the Garden Stage will offer dawn concerts in an evocative setting, with performances by artists such as Casadilego and Micah P. Hinson.

The Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria will host the “Galleria che Spacca”, a mix of interviews, art and music, with artists such as Enrico Nigiotti and Dente. The festival will also include the UniPg Stage and the UniStraPg Stage, with events and talks dedicated to social and cultural themes.

New this year will be “StageGPT,” an area dedicated to artificial intelligence, which will explore how AI is transforming various sectors, including music and education.

The festival, realized with the support and patronage of numerous institutions and partners, will also offer a “Chill Area” where participants can relax and enjoy local food and drinks. In addition, the T-Trane record store will host musical breakfasts with DJ sets every morning.
