Upon the decision of the administration of Udine, pushed by the deputy mayor Alessandro Venanzi who maintained relations with the family of Shimpei Tominagathe city is preparing to say goodbye to the Japanese entrepreneur who died following an attack that occurred during the night between Friday 21 and Saturday 22 June. “We want to organize a moment of farewell: Udine loved him”, declared the councilor for Productive Activities and deputy mayor Venanzi. “His wife has agreed to organize this occasion, which will be a balanced and silent embrace full of feeling that Udine wants to give to one of its fellow citizens. There will be no speeches, whoever wants can bring a flower”, concludes the deputy mayor. The chosen location is the Ajace room, where Tominaga’s coffin will be displayed on Thursday 4 July approximately from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm: a highly symbolic institutional location given that it was here that the funeral took place the last farewell also towards the former mayor Angelo Candolini. Shimpei Tominaga’s wife and son will not be physically present while, however, the entrepreneur’s brother should arrive in the city in the next few hours. Tominaga will then be cremated and his ashes should return to Japan in the coming weeks.
