On Sunday 30th June, the streets of Bitonto once again became the stage for the foot race “STRABITONTO 2024“. The event, organized by the Bitonto Runners ASD under the aegis of the Apulian Regional Committee from the Fidal and with the patronage of the municipal administration, it represented the sixth test of the Terra di Bari Trophy road racing.
The competition saw the participation of around 600/700 runners from all over the region, who competed on a route of 10 kilometerscrossing both urban and rural roads. The race started at 6:30 pm, arriving in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, in front of the Palazzo di Città. The route included the following streets: Via IV Novembre, Via P. Centola, Viale Giovanni XXIII, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Piazza Cavour, Via G. Rogadeo, Via A. Planelli, Via F. Ambrosi, Piazza Sylos, Via Megra, Pingiello local road, Via Megra, Via F. Ambrosi, Via Maggiore, Via Porta Robustina, Piazza Cattedrale, Via G. Rogadeo, Piazza Cavour and Corso Vittorio Emanuele.

Mayor Francesco Paolo Ricci expressed great satisfaction with the success of the event, declaring: “TIn the streets of our wonderful city we are hosting, today, the ‘STRABITONTO 2024’, organized by Bitonto Runners ASD and valid as the sixth round of the Terra di Bari Road Running Trophy. A beautiful sports festival for hundreds of runners from all over the Region“.
Strabitonto 2024 was not only a high-level sporting competition, but also an occasion to celebrate sport and community, with athletes demonstrating commitment and passion along the streets of the city. With impeccable organization and enthusiastic participation, the event confirmed its prominent place in the regional sporting calendar.
