The spaces of the Hotel Ferrara welcome the people of Ferrara for an exhibition on Ferrara in collaboration with the association The Ferrareser. In short, it can be said that the exhibition ‘Illustrated Visit to the Heart of the City’, inaugurated on Thursday in the Largo Castello hotel, is a fine example of “Ferrara-ness”. The exhibition, at whose vernissage were present Guido Guidi, president and CEO of The Begin Hotels group, and Eugenio Ciccone, president of The Ferrareser association, uses 36 illustrations to describe the city in its most iconic elements ranging from the most important to the character of the city. It will be open to visitors all summer. The inauguration event was an opportunity to accompany the participants on a five-stage journey in which five of the illustrators involved in the project also took part.

The initiative is the first event that the Marche collection, recently in the city with the management of the Hotel Ferrara, wants to do to make the structure a place to tell the story of the city of Este not only for tourists, but also for the citizens themselves. The vernissage was also an opportunity for Guido Guidi to illustrate the salient points of the renovation and revaluation project of the Hotel Ferrara, designed by Nick Maltese Studio, named among the 20 most important emerging designers by Ad Italia magazine. “We only entered Ferrara in December, on tiptoe, to get to know the atmosphere of the city. Today – explains Guidi –, we thank you for the collaboration we found. Like every structure in our collection, the Hotel Ferrara will also become one space not only for those arriving in the city, but also for those who live there every day. The exhibition inaugurates the beginning of this project and affirms our desire to open up to local realities, which we consider the lifeblood for describing the destination”. At the end of the event, Eugenio Ciccone also spoke, thanking The Begin Hotels and expressing his thoughts on the project. “We are happy with the collaboration proposal with the Hotel Ferrara – he said –, a company that has recently arrived in our area and which has proven sensitive to valorising ideas and people, like our group of illustrators”.
