It is the only nursery school, not only in Pietrasanta but in the entire historical Versilia, to have sections divided by age. Perhaps for a little longer because one of the three sections of the “Lorenzini” of Pietrasanta (in the photo) has currently been canceled based on the legal staffing established by the provincial school office. The consequence is that the 54 children enrolled in the 2024-2025 school year risk being divided into two classes of 27, no longer homogeneous as they are mixed in terms of age. Plus other effects, including the possible transfer of some teachers elsewhere, which led parents to mobilize and express all their concern with a letter of 52 signatures.

Yesterday they met the mayor Alberto Giovannetti and the management of the comprehensive institute 1. “The board of directors has assured that the section should be restored – explain the parents – but we will have to wait for the de facto staff to be made official in July. To date the only certainty are the two sections. It means two henhouse classes and heterogeneous. The characteristic of the homogeneous age, unique in Versilia, is the main reason why many prefer the plexus. The path followed since the first year would also be lost inconvenience for children due to the dismemberment of groups. We do everything we can to keep this reality alive.”
