Orio al Serio. On the occasion of the day dedicated to Music Festival (21 June) Orio al Serio Airport returns with its usual appointment, through performances capable of accompanying and entertaining tourists ready to embark. The event is now a must in all Italian airports, which exploit their large catchment area to bring the most curious closer to new musical horizons, helping and elevating the potential of artists in the area.

“Piano players from all over Europe wanted to join this extraordinary initiative – reiterated the president of Sacbo, John Sanga -. It is the best way to help raise awareness of the value of musical culture, but also the talents and heritage we have at our disposal, through teachers and students of the conservatory. The value of music is universal and eternal and Bergamo airport wants to be there.”

A very rich and varied schedule with four events located throughout the airport complex. To open the program, Elena Migliorini, a young pianist from Bergamo, with his piano recital ‘Favole di Vita’, in the boarding area: “My will – underlines the artist – is to bring classical music to everyone’s ears, both through an explanation and with part played, as if it were a real fairy tale being told. In other years I have always presented to the public through different themes. There is a lot of interest on the part of people and curiosity in seeing a piano in the center of an airport like this. The idea is to convey something that allows you to imagine, a sort of dream.” In the artist’s journey there are the music of artists who have written history, such as Bach, Brahms and Rachmaninov.

Always in the same boarding area, then space for Montrouge Singers Choir, originally from Monterosso, with a sequence of polyphonic pieces for 5 voices and arrangements made to measure also for collaborating with orchestras, then leaving the scene to the SoundBlast Orchestra, a group made up of children from middle schools with a musical orientation and united by the same passion; among the songs on display there are also real pearls by timeless artists such as Elvis Presley, The Beatles and Luis Armstrong.

It continues with a change of genre and location thanks to the country notes of Mismountain Boys, a band with more than 700 live concerts and 9 self-produced albums. The setting is that of the small commercial square in the public area in front of the entrance to the security checks.
